What an incredible Valentine’s Weekend we’ve had! So good that we’re still recovering, and for some, still trying to remember it all…
Of course we expected fun, friends and all the Valentine’s weekend feels, but we ended up biting off way more than we could chew… and it was sarap indeed! From Barrio to bar, we journeyed through time and Spaze, braving muddy roads and wedding vows. Avoiding curfews and liquor bans like there was no tomorrow!
Butanding Barrio Fiesta
The weekend opened with the Binhi Mindful Market, a tasteful lineup of makers and shakers. It was there, under the beautiful creation of Butanding Bar, that the community gathered to share art, ideas, and delicious dishes for their first Barrio Fiesta. We learned about sustainable agriculture, indigenous crops and so much more thanks to the many mindful talks hosted by Hakbang TV and their guest speakers.
We sampled fresh and healthy local food from farmers and fisherman across Palawan. From rabbit to fair trade fish, handcrafted beer and locally sourced coffee! What a treat it was to experience a different taste of what this magical island has to offer!
With full bellies and happy hearts we met so incredibly talented artists who all shared our love and passion for genuine creativity. Paintings so real, we thought it was a photo! So many cool things we couldn’t live without and ideas we definitely wished we thought of! There were also so many amazing organic all-natural goodies that we will be smelling like coconut and honey till 2022. Love was definitely in the air. Even before all the match-made shots we shared!
And to celebrate Valentine’s… No Drama Party
The whimsical vibes of Butanding Bar and their floating display of bamboo marine life, made the perfect pairing to our more daring evening activities in Spaze. Even as we faced the fear of a cock-blocking curfew, the Walang Problema gang and all its followers made their way to the No Drama Party dressed their best and ready for sucksex*. And many were more than successful at finding their “match”!
While some enjoyed the free shot with their fellow card holders, others decided to take things to the next level! With the support of our onsight experts, relationship/sex therapist Dr. Bang Bang and Father Alejandro from the No Drama Church, our express wedding service was the most popular thing on the menu!
And for those who had second thoughts? Walang Problema! They soon celebrated the shortest wedding ever and signed our WP Divorce Certificate with tears of joy! We promised them No Drama. And we always deliver.
Between the display of craftsmanship, the variety of food and all the drama-free fun, it’s no wonder we’re so broke after this weekend! From what we can remember, it was a weekend to never forget.
